biocartly is a SaaS platform that helps South African businesses create checkout stores, manage products, and accept payments. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.
2. Information We Collect
- Business owner details such as name, email address, and store information.
- Customer checkout details such as name, email, phone number, and delivery address.
- Store content, product listings, order history, and usage information.
- Payment status and provider references. We do not store card numbers or CVV codes.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide, secure, and improve the biocartly service.
- To process orders, subscriptions, support requests, and transactional emails.
- To prevent fraud, enforce platform limits, and comply with legal obligations.
4. Service Providers
We use trusted service providers for authentication, hosting, payments, email delivery, file storage, and monitoring, including Clerk, Neon, Yoco, PayFast, Resend, Cloudflare, Upstash, Vercel, Inngest, and Sentry. We do not sell personal information.
5. Your POPIA Rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or objection to processing of your personal information. Contact us at privacy@biocartly.com.
6. Security and Retention
We use HTTPS, access controls, and encryption for sensitive payment credentials. Account data is retained while an account is active, and order records may be retained for accounting and legal compliance.
